Rose Cottage ticked all the necessary boxes for us. We were traveling around Cornwall and stayed at Rose Cottage the night before returning to London. It was easy to find, the parking was very convenient for unloading luggage and provided easy access to the house. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Ros, who had everything well organized. Ours was a last minute booking, quite by chance, and ended up being a very happy stay. The recommended dinner venue on the sea front at Sidmouth was delightful. Breakfast was well catered and beautifully cooked. Well done and thanks Ros

A very friendly family run lodgings where we (and our dog) received a lovely welcome. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and they served up a lovely full English in the morning.

Roz, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much bother for her. She made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. This made our stay pleasant and comfortable. Lots of little added touches in the bedroom made us feel like valued guests and very much at home. Guest house was clean and homely. The breakfast in the morning was very well cooked, hearty and delicious. We could not fault our stay and would be more than happy to return in future.

We could not find any fault with Rose Cottage.

Very friendly. Comfortable room with good facilities for the price. Excellent breakfast included.

Could do you with more lighting outside and in car park. Steps couild dangerous at night. Radiator was cold in the evening.

size of bedroom, and lounge and location were excellent. The owner was really helpful and friendly the breakfasts were good. Lots of bookshelves and comfortable chairs and bed.

I am afraid there was a smell of stale cooking fat throughout the house when we arrived and it was obvious from the smell that the owner smoked quite heavily, but not in our presence. The conservatory /laundry room is the first site of the house when you come in from the car park.and it doesn't look very well organised or clean. I am sure it is, and once inside the house is clean and tidy. Blinds in the conservatory would help the look of the place and improve first impressions.

The house was very cute and the room was very nice. Roz was extremely kind and even made a delicious meal for me at no charge as I arrived late after all the pubs and restaurants nearby had closed. There was a great little set up for tea and cookies available too, and the morning included breakfast was excellent.

    Nothing, it was great.

Nothing was to much for the proprietor (Roz) who made us feel at home in from the minute we arrived. We opted for dinner for the two nights we were there and were treated to suberb home cooking both times. Rose cottage does not have licence for alchohol, however we supplied our own wine, and were surprised that we were not charged corkage. On top of this our dog was made welcome as part of Roz's family. A delightful stay.

A very genuine, warm welcome - dog friendly and very helpful.

The very warm welcome and the way in which all our needs were attended to. The owner was very kind and helpful and the dinner she provided for us was excellent - as was the breakfast.

There were 3 of us and my single room, though comfortable, was rather small. The TV in the double room had a digi-box. It would have been helpful to have instructions for use available. But we really enjoyed our stay and will recommend Rose Cottage to our friends.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and the rooms were comfortable. The food was good too. There was space for parking.

It was small, comfortable & friendly - a 'home away from home'. I was made very welcome, received the attention I needed but I was left undisturbed for the rest of the time. Travelling as a single person there is usually a premium for the use of a single room so £35 for Bed & Breakfast with en-suite facilities was very good value. The bed & room were comfortable with a tv & tea making facilities. There were some very nice 'touches' in the room - shampoo, hand wash etc, biscuits & sweets, a heated towel rail that was on when I went into the shower room & free wifi.

Homely, good breakfast, owner very pleasant and helpful. On a good bus route and Sidmouth is easily walkable.

Shower could have done with being more powerful.
